This is the commitment being made today by Jeunes Volontaires pour l’Environnement (JVE Cameroon) as it launches several groundbreaking initiatives designed to prepare a new generation of actors capable of influencing climate policies, promoting gender equality, and championing the voices of communities in decision-making arenas.
With AGEYCA, JVE Cameroon is launching more than just a series of independent activities; we are building a genuine transformative journey. We aim to guide young people from awareness-raising to active engagement, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to become credible players in climate governance.
Our ambition is to foster a generation capable of influencing public policy, promoting gender equality, and contributing to concrete solutions for climate challenges.
Through AGEYCA, JVE Cameroon does more than just provide training; the organization is investing in the human capital that will shape the climate policies of tomorrow. From the Children’s COP and the Academy for Gender and Social Inclusion to “Cap sur la COP” (Heading to COP) and Agroecology Workshops, a unified vision emerges: transforming Cameroonian youth into a driving force for proposals, innovation, and change. In a context where today’s decisions will determine the resilience of future generations, JVE Cameroon has chosen an approach that places young people at the heart of climate action—not merely as beneficiaries, but as leaders, negotiators, innovators, and architects of a fairer, more inclusive, and more sustainable future.
