Helda Verla Berinyuy homosexual suspect on the run.

Officials of the Buea Central Prison have reported the death of a certain Edube Derick, one of the prisoners in Buea.
He died on October 5th 2024. Initial investigation shows the deceased must have died from some torture as there were visible signs of bruises and blood on his life less body.
According to reports the deceased was imprisoned after found guilty of Homosexuality alongside Helda Verla Berinyuy,his partner.
Homosexual activities are punishable in Cameroon according to the law.
Eco OUTLOOK gathered that the partner in crime of the deceased,Helda Verla Berinyuy had escaped and fled the country in 2014 and his whereabout is still unknown.
Reports say the security is still searching for his whereabouts. They were both sentenced to four years imprisonment in November 2022. The family of the deceased, Edube Derick is still in shock of his demise, just one year to the end of his imprisonment.He leaves behind two sons,the wife and other family members to mourn him.
