SW Governor and team brave the high sea to Idabato

The Governor of the South west Region,Bernard Okalia Bilai has given 72- hour ultimatum for the immediate release of the abducted DO of Idabato , Ewane Roland, by its abductors or face the consequences.
He made this statement during an emergency meeting held in Idabato, Tuesday October 8, 2024.
In attendance were the Senior divisional officers for Ndian, Senior officers from the defense and security services, the mayor of Idabato, and local residents, among other key personalities.
During the session, the Governor warned that failure to release the DO would lead to a lockdown of the town, which would significantly disrupt daily life and local businesses.
He called for the immediate suspension of economic activities like fishing, transportation via sea along the shores of Bakassi area till further notice.
The South West Governor also disclosed that Roland’s abduction was carried out by Nigerian terrorist group with the complicity of certain Nigerian businessmen in Idabato.
“These business men according to our investigations have refused to comply with Cameroon laws by evading taxes,” the governor said.
Just to note that the DO of Idabato Roland Ewane was abducted in the early hours of Tuesday 1 October 2024 from residence in Idabato along side with the store accountant of the Idabato Council, Etongo Ismael
