BAWOCUDA Holds Revival Meeting in Yaounde, lay blueprint for future development.

The Bajoh Women Cultural and Development Association (BAWOCUDA) under the leadership of Dr. Betty-Best Mesame Mwene held their 2025 revival meeting in Yaounde March 15, 2025.

According to the General President,the activities of the  Association had paused for some time as a result of the crisis in the Southwest and Northwest regions.

The Yaounde come together provided the opportunity for the association to relaunch its activities and plan for future development action

According reports the Yaounde come together was very successful with delegates from the different BAWOCUDA branches of Elambeng, Ebase, Elah, Bangem, Limbe, Buea and Yaounde in attendance.

In one of the resolutions in the meeting BAWOCUDA made a modest contribution of 50.000fcfa to support the payment of PTA teachers in GSS Ekanjoh.

According to the President BAWOCUDA amongst other activities has over the years promoted the empowerment of the Bakossi Bajoh women and the girl children through workshops,conferences.

“ BAWOCUDA has been empowering especially grassroot women, organizing workshops to educate them as well as providing assistance and farm tools to help improve their living standards. We have also been very active in bringing back peace through sensitization of the youths in the Bajoh community in particular and Bangem in general,” she said.

In one of the revival activities of BAWOCUDA, some new members were elected into the national committee.

The Yaounde meeting accordingly set the momentum for a more vibrant BAWOCUDA.
