CENPA 2024 Farmers Empowerment Champion, AMS CEO Etake Divine
By M.Roland
On Saturday July 5, 2025, the Agroproduce Management Services Limited (AMS) piloted by Etake Divine Ngaaje was named 2024 Farmers Empowerment Champion by the Cameroon English Language Newspaper Publishers Association (CENPA) in a heavily attended ceremony at the historic Buea Mountain Hotel.
Though this award was not the first clinched by the company, its relevance and impact resonates widely across the country especially in cocoa production basins where AMS has its operations.
The people centred outfit, managed by someone who personifies humility, has touched lives of thousands of Cocoa farmers.
In 2024 for instance, AMS Limited under the aegis of its CEO promptly paid over FCFA 905.6 million to 10,281 farmers as premiums for the quality of cocoa beans they produced.
Since 2011, AMS has reached out to over 10,000 certified farmers with over FCFA 5 billion paid for over 100,000 tons of cocoa.
CEO Etake who dedicated the award to farmers and his team, told reporters that his vision is to transform the Mindsets of cocoa farmers to see farming as a business and not just as a means of survival as hitherto was the case.
The award-winning CEO and his company are leaders in sustainable cocoa production in Cameroon and his committment to empower farmers and the vulnerable in the communities is unwavering.
His constant support to widows and other vulnerable groups in his native Kupe Muanenguba is testament to this assertion and we would not be surprised if he is rewarded again for his Humanitarian and philantropic gestures.
Congratulations “Cocoa Master”
