Helping improve lives in his community
Hilary says his drive as change agent and
Helper started by volunteering in his community during holidays in the area of hygiene and sanitation. At university, he still volunteered for NGOs.
Galvanized by these experiences, Hilary decided in 2004, to create his own platform – CCREAD – through which he has been helping to improve the lives of the underprivileged,
“marginalized” and vulnerable.
His community projects in providing solar energy in hospitals and village communities in Bangem and other villages in the Southwest in recent times assisting in bridging the energy supply gap in the region did not escape the attention of the CENPA Jury.

The laureate (middle) flanked by two publishers( Ngalame Elias of Eco Outlook and Dr Olive Ejang of The Ultimate) focused on reporting/publishing community development issues.
