FAKO SDO Begins Punitive Measures against Business Institutions Obeying Ghost Town Oders

FAKO SDO seals business premises in Limbe

The Senior Divisional Officer for Fako, Engelbert Viang Mekala, has vowed to punish commercial banks, provision shops, markets and other businesses institutions heeding to Ghost Town orders by separatists fighters.

The SDO was speaking  Tuesday, September 16th, during a round the City of Limbe tour with his collaborators where he sealed the doors of some banks and other business premises that obey lockdown calls over a week ago, shut their doors and their banking operations.

“You are joining the enemies of the State to punish the population by shutting your doors and banking operations,” the SDO warned!

The SDO said the banks decision to shut their doors was not helping the people, the economy of the Division and, to a large extent, an affront against the State.

The SDO reiterated that the banks and other business premises deciding to shut down will be sanctioned for joining forces with “the enemies of the state to punish the people.”

Observers say the persisting lockdowns imposed, time and again, by the Separatists fighters for the past nine years has instead helped to kill businesses and the economies of the two English Speaking Regions.

The SDO was accompanied by the DO for the Limbe I Sub Division, Innocent Moni Nanje, the Limbe City Council Mayor, Paul Efome Mbole Ngale who all condemned the actions of the locked business premises.
