Seven-Year Term of Greatness and Hope: Promises Fulfilled, Horizons Opened

The dawn of this new septennat is marked by grandeur and hope. Six hundred doctoral candidates and one thousand ENS trainees—figures that speak not only of numbers, but of destiny—are the living testimony of a nation advancing under the steady hand of its President. 

This achievement is no accident. It is the fruit of tireless labor, of sleepless nights, of a team united around the vision of His Excellency Paul Biya. In close concert with ministerial departments and university leadership, the commitments made before the people are now becoming reality. 

On November 6, 2025, the President of the Republic renewed his solemn pledge: to improve the living conditions of Cameroonians, to bring light where there is darkness, water where there is thirst, roads where there is isolation, and energy where there is need. Today, those words are no longer promises—they are deeds. 

Foremost among these deeds is the revival of the doctoral/PhD cycle and the reopening of the Higher Teachers’ Training Colleges. Six hundred doctoral students will soon embark on their academic journey, supported entirely by the state. A *National Inter-University Commission* will oversee this noble endeavour, ensuring excellence and harmonisation across the land. 

Equally significant is the integration of more than one thousand private students trained since 2022. By January, they will be recruited and immediately absorbed into the civil service, strengthening the nation’s intellectual and pedagogical fabric. Entrance examinations for the ENS in nine state universities will be launched before year’s end, opening doors for a new generation of educators. 

Beyond academia, the President directs the unfolding of structural projects—municipal roads, highways, water supply, energy reinforcement, and modern waste management—projects that will transform daily life and anchor development in every community. 

Thus, the vision of the Head of State is translated into palpable achievements. The pledges of November are already bearing fruit. The nation advances. The people witness. The promises are kept. 

Promises kept. Hope renewed. Grandeur assured.
