Security Forces intensify Search of some runaway suspected supporters of Separatist fighters

There has been intensified insecurity in the crisis regions of the Northwest and Southwest of Cameroon as security mount hunt for suspected supporters of separatist fighters, especially youths accused of supporting separatists fighters.

Human rights report say many Cameroon Anglophone youths who were involved in the crisis either directly as separatists fighters or supporters have fled from their different abode for safety as they have become prime targets by security forces in the wake of the ongoing Anglophone Crisis in the Northwest and Southwest of Cameroon.

This crackdown reflects escalating tensions between government security forces and Anglophones fighting for Ambazonia liberation, a prominent organization within the Anglophone movements advocating for self-determination.

Hunt for suspected supporters of SEPARATISTS FIGHTERS

Eco OULOOK gathered that many youths who are suspected to be supporters of separatist fighters are being hunted by security.

Eye witness account say one of them Fozoa Macmillan Zotsa a business man who runs a retail shop in Kumba, Southwest region is now on the run.

According to our sources Fozoa Macmillan was first accused and arrested by separatist fighters for selling in his shop on a ghost town day defying the others of the fighters.

Family sources say he was only lucky to have been rescued from the hands of the separatist.

Many other youths who defy ghost town orders by separatist are either killed or forced to join the fighters in their hideout.

Family sources told Eco OUTLOOK Fozoa Macmillan and other youths received death threats by separatists fighters when they participated in march past during celebrations of the country’s national day May 20th 2022, clad in the ruling party T-shirts.

Some of the youths who participated in that ceremony were shot and killed by the fighters, Eco OUTLOOK gathered.

Many victims in the same circumstances have lost their lives since the Anglophone crisis began in 2016.

With persistent threats on the lives of youths in the Northwest and Southwest  by the military who suspect them of supporting separatists fighters  and on the other hand by separatists fight who threaten those violating their orders, many Anglophone youths have been on the run for fear of their lives

Like other suspected youths the where about of Fozoa Macmillan Zotsa  since  January 2023 is unknown and his family fear his life is in danger.

 It should be recalled that the Anglophone crisis that started in 2016 and degenerated into fierce battle between security forces and separatists has led to the arrest and killing of thousands of persons of all ages.

Human Rights report say security forces have been carrying out persistent raid arresting especially youths and others believed to be supporters of separatist movement in the country while separatists fighters have been killing those they considers as black legs in the struggle.
