BACDA-USA Second Phase Free Health Consultation Campaign Begins April 8-9, 2026, Bangem District Hospital

The Bakossi Cultural And Development Association   USA chapter ( BACDA USA ) in collaboration with Bangem District Hospital will be organizing a FREE Health Campaign that’s FREE CONSULTATIONS AND SCREENING from the 8TH to the 9th of April at the Bangem district hospital.

According to a campaign program by BACDA-USA, the free service to be provided include, General Heath Check-ups, blood pressure monitoring, screening for diabetes, consultations with doctors and FREE MEDICATION.

Most of our parents back in villages often suffer from diabetes, HBPs, General illnesses with some not having access to Doctors  and screening equipments due to financial constraints.

BACDA-USA is calling on the population to make use of this wonderful initiative now by informing one another of the dates of this free consultations.

The second phase of the free health consultation campaign for 2026 comes after that of the first that took place on January 6th at the Tombel District Hospital and January 8th at BASENG Health Center.

 Like in the past, this project was conceived and funded by the Bakossi Cultural and Development Association,BACDA in the United States, USA to the grassroots dwellers by carrying out free medical consultations in the villages, identifying to provide basic healthcare closer common illnesses, providing some generic drugs, facilitating acquisition of other essential drugs and monitoring the health condition of the patients.

The objectives according to the organisers has always been to

provide basic generic drugs to patients, monitor the patients identified in these areas, to facilitate the acquisition of proper treatment, to carryout consultations in villages of the Bakossi area, to identify common diseases/illnesses and to promote increased awareness on the importance of basic health care.

Dr Esambe Emmanuel of the Bangem District Hospital that will be hosting the free consultation salutes the milestone health support to the community by BACDA-USA.

“ We can only be very grateful for the health support by BACDA-USA. We commend their efforts and call on other elite and groups to emulate their example,” Dr Esambe said.

It should Some years back same free health  campaign were carried out in villages like Enyandong and Ekanjoh-Bajoh and four health  areas in the Tombel health district namely; Ebonji,Baseng,Ndom and Ndibenjock.

As well as six health  areas in the Bangem health district namely; Muambong,Nkack,Bangem,Muabi, Ekanjoh-Bajoh, Eyandong.

Considering accessibility to healthcare challenges, one of the greatest gifts every diaspora elites can give back  to their people in KupeMuanenguba is access to social facilities and amenities like health , electricity , good roads , pipe borne water, the local population says.
