The campus of Government Bilingual High School (GBHS) Baloum was a veritable pool of attraction last Friday 12th June 2026 as the administrative staff, teachers, students, invited personalities from far and near and curious onlookers flooded the school esplanade to celebrate the solemn distribution of the end of 2025/2026 academic year report cards to students, crowned with an excellent award to meritorious students, duly offered by the former students of the institution.
A major highlight of the ceremony was the donation of gifts and awards to meritorious students by the ex-students of the school.
The ex-students working hand in glove with the principal decided to encourage academic excellence to promote quality education.
The Ex-students under their astute leadership of Mr PAULIN TSAGNAH provided academic gadgets such as cartons of exercise books, pens, pencils, balls, computer, and others to help the students in their studies.
“Their action was not only limited to the award of meritorious students, but also financial motivation handed to the teachers,a gesture highly acclaimed by all those present at the ceremonial ground,” the principal of the school said.
Gestures like these help to boost the morals and standards of both the learners and the teaching body of the school, he added.
He expressed the wish that the motivation gesture will upgrade the results of the school to another pedestal come the academic year 2026/2027.
“The donation and action carried out by the former students of GBHS Baloum has come to boost efforts of the school authorities,”
