
SAWA Traditional Rulers

Over 200 Traditional Rulers of the SAWA people are meeting in Kribi for an enlarge General Assembly which is expected to produce key recommendations for the effective functioning of the association.
The General Assembly, scheduled for July 19, 2025 will take place at the Ndabo Cultural Center in Mboamanga.
Going by official documents signed by the Divisional Officer of Kribi I Subdivision of the Ocean Division, Foe Bertrand, granting authorization of the meeting, it shall be marked by a procession from Ndabo Y’ itondi to Mboamanga roundabout then down to Phare Hotel and to Mayi village.
According to officials of the organizing Committee,all is set for the grand General Assembly of SAWA Traditional rulers.
About SAWA people
They are known to be the occupants of the coastal regions of Cameroon notably; Littoral, Southwest and Kribi in the South region. They share lots of harmony between their ways of life and close interaction with the environment.
The SAWA people would include the Ewodi, the Bodiman, the Pongo, the Bakole, the Bakweri, the Bomboko, the Isubu, the Limba, the Mungo, the Wovea and Oroko.
