“ We have streamlined some short and long term plan of actions. The executive has just been elected and for the main time  we have to get in touch and sensitize all the functional batches, reawaken those that are dormant to plan for a general assembly in 2026,” he said.

He said  the Alumni was aware of the multiple predicament of the school from dwindling student numbers, shortage of teachers especially in the sciences and the need for a modern library.

“ In the medium term we have to work hand in gloves to help the PTA recruit more teachers and encourage STEM studies especially for the girl child. And in the long term we are looking at raising funds to construct some infrastructure like a standard science laboratory and modern library,” Dr Akale hinted.

Some executive members were also worried about the dwindling numbers in the school, triggered by the Anglophone crisis.

“ We are glad that peace has totally return in Bangem and environs and need to work hard through sensitization to help improve on the school enrollment.
