A Partner’s engagement roundtable discussion, training and scholarship offer organised by the Summa Cum Laude Sango Madiba Information and Learning Resource Centre in Partnership with Veronique Ntube Sita Foundation took place at Sango Madiba Center, Muebah-Nninong, March10,2026.

The  roundtable which bought together the partners, students, school authorities, community leaders according to the organisers, was geared at improving on the quality of education and learning of  the students especially the scholarship beneficiaries and orient on how to better tailor future scholarship opportunities for improved results.

According to the organisers, the Veronique Ntube Sita Foundation, Mr & Mrs Nkong Makoge in collaboration with the Abwe Diabe Platform of Excellence (EAD-PFE) in August 2025, awarded a series of scholarships to newly admitted forms one students into GSS Muebah.

The scholarships, ranging from15,000CFA,30,000CFA,to100,000CFA per student, were designed to encourage academic excellence, reward top performances and strengthen students enrollment at the school, which has faced significant enrollment challenges since the onset of the Anglophone crisis in 2017.

The scholarship partners adopted an approach that emphasised regular dialogue with beneficiaries and the wider educational community, including parents, school authorities and students in order to identify opportunities for holistic support and to make the transition into secondary education both meaningful and transformative for the beneficiaries.

Training session

A note brief from the organisers regretted that out of the 30 student beneficiaries in August 2025, only 12 effectively returned to school in September same year.

It’s against this backdrop that the donors in collaboration with the school authorities proposed a technical assessment intended to guide possible realignment of scholarship packages based on merit.

“This pattern of inconsistent engagement and unmet commitments among some scholarship recipients raised concern regarding the achievement of the original objectives pf the partnership, hence the need for the present round table,” the note stated.

The round table according to Dr Abwe Diabe is thus intended to, identify the challenges faced by the students, proceed with the payment of the second installment of the scholarship award, and also create an opportunity for the local educational community to engage with graduating students, understanding their challenges and provide motivation for academic excellence in the future.

Participants in the round table included forms one and five students of GSS Muebah who are the direct beneficiaries of the scholarships. Also included were school authorities, community leaders, PTA representatives, head teachers of neighboring nursery and primary schools.

In Honor of Ma Vero: The Vision of the Veronique Ntube Sita Foundation

The Veronique Ntube Sita Foundation embodies the enduring legacy of our beloved mother, Ma Vero. Her unwavering commitment to ensuring that every child, especially those in economically challenged contexts, has access to quality education remains at the heart of our mission.

Fondly known as Sita, Ma Vero recognized that education is a powerful catalyst for transformation. She believed that by investing in the education of children, we could empower them to realize their dreams and uplift our communities as a whole. Throughout her life, she demonstrated this belief by dedicating her resources to support underprivileged children in their educational journeys. Ma Vero encouraged every child and parent to appreciate the importance of education, instilling values that still resonate deeply with us today.

Though she left us at a young age, her vision was upheld by our father, Pa Shadrack Mbwoge, of blessed memory. He worked tirelessly to ensure that we all had access to education, reinforcing the legacy of our mother.

“As we continue her work, we invite you to join us in honoring Ma Vero’s vision and commitment to education for all.

Together, we can make a profound difference in the lives of children and communities in need,” a note from the coordinator of the foundation stated.
