As the population awaits effective construction work to begin in November during the dry season the opening of the road to Ndibisi where the construction materials will be kept started on Friday September 13.
The expectation of the population is very high as they look up to the project with some measured hopes and pointed optimism.
Teams from the Rapid Intervention Battalion, the body in charge of the project, started executing works to Ndibisi village on Friday 13, September 2024.
It should be recalled that the road trajectory covers 53 km in KupeMuanenguba in the South-West region.
A release from the government says a meeting to plan the project was held at the Ministry of Public Works on 11 September 2024, in order to adopt a methodology for works execution and disseminate the related schedule.
This concertation enabled teams from MINTP and the Rapid Invention Battalion to assess and approve drafted preliminary studies.
Local authorities and the population have not ceased to appreciate the long awaited road construction project, expressing the hope it rolls out according to plan.
The appreciation comes amidst frantic concerns over past development promises that have failed to take off the ground.
“We are very thankful and hoping to see the beginning of this Great Project which will help to develop our Community and better the Lives of our People. We pray that it will all begin and end well with the protection and Guidance of the Lord God Almighty and of our Ancestors,” says the President of the Bangem Dvelopmet Forum, BDF Nhon Commissioner Ebong Bao Ewoh Bawunkem Joseph.
Another concerned elite however said the project was good but expressed some reservations on its effectiveness given past experience.
“ We appreciate the fact that works are soon going to start but I think it’s too early to jubilate. Let’s wait and see,” writes Protus Ekane EPIE in response to the news of the project.
However, the mayor of Bangem who was present as construction works towards Ndibisi began said he was optimistic that with the collaboration of the population all will be well.
“ We are glad the workS are soon going to start thanks to the determination of the head of state to provide us with this very important road project. The population of Bangem in particular and KupeMuaneguba in general is appreciative. We are calling on the population to join hands to see this road project that is certainly going boost the economy and development of Bangem and of course Nguti, completely realized
