Cameroon’s high commissioner to Canada, Ngole Philip Ngwesse was among seven other diplomats who officially presented their letter of credence to the Canadian government September 13, 2024.
Governor General Mary Simon welcomed seven new heads of mission to Canada during the ceremony at Rideau Hall. During the ceremony, the following new heads of mission presented their credentials to the Governor General: His Excellency Ngole Philip Ngwese
High Commissioner for the Republic of Cameroon, His Excellency Uthman Lebbe Mohammed Jauhar, High Commissioner for the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka,His Excellency Can Dizdar, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye, Her Excellency Tjorven Bellmann and His Excellency Matthias Lüttenberg, Ambassadors of the Federal Republic of Germany, His Excellency Jarl Kåre Frijs-Madsen,Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark,Her Excellency Nahida Sobhan, High Commissioner for the People’s Republic of Bangladesh
Upon their arrival in Canada, new heads of mission must present their letters of credence to the governor general before they can carry out their duties. Letters of credence are the official documents that accredit a diplomat as an ambassador or high commissioner to another country.
