The winners of the first edition of the KupeMuanenguba beauty contest that took in Bangem November 28,2024 have been announced.
The very successful ceremony saw the participation of over 20 finalists from all the three Sub- divisions of the division, Nguti, Tombel, Bangem.
According to the jury members headed by the Mayor of Bangem, Ekungwe Christopher, the event was a trail blazer that will go a long way to project the image of KupeMuanenguba daughters and move them to higher hights.
He lauded all the participants and especially the winners for their outstanding performance.
“ Though three out of the many who participated were selected, I wish to say all the participants merited a winning ticket. Unfortunately they could not be selected all. Only three had to emerge.” The Mayor said.
Organised by BETCAM GIC coordinated by Madam Bume Ada,the completion that was announced some few months ago finally rolled out at the Bangem Council hall where the population congregated to catch a glimpse of the various types of verbal/ intellectual and cultural displays by the contestants.
They all showcased their knowhow in culture, general knowledge, dancing and body movement gesticulations. It was a beautiful moment to behold, filled with glamour and fanfare. The ceremony was spiced with beautiful music from artists in the three sub-division who were on set to display.
At the end BETCAM CEO, Ada Bume announced the winners.
“We are pleased to announce the results of the 1st Edition of the Miss Kupe Muanenguba Beauty Pageant, held on the 28th of November in Bangem under the esteemed patronage of H.E Mrs. ELUNG Sylvie. This event was organized to promote cultural heritage, empower young women, and inspire unity among the vibrant communities of Kupe Muanenguba Division, she said.

1st Runner-up: Ngolle Dian Ebunge from Epenebel-Nninong, Bangem Sub-Division.
2nd Runner-up: Etake Vanissa Emade from Nkikoh village, Bangem Sub-Division.
“In recognition of their participation and dedication, all contestants will automatically become Miss of their respective villages and will be decorated as such. These young women have demonstrated exceptional poise, confidence, and commitment, serving as role models for their peers. We commend their achievements and thank all participants for showcasing the rich culture and talent of our Division. This event underscores the importance of empowering young women to become ambassadors of positive change and unity in Kupe Muanenguba Division,” Ada Bume said.
It should be recalled that the first winner takes home the sum of one Million fcfa(1.000000FCFA) the second, five hundred(500.000fcfa) and fifty and the third, three hundred and fifty(350.000fcfa) thousands.
