

Opening up of the Enyandong-Elah- Balog stretch of the Bangem-Nguti road.

The construction work of the 53KM stretch of road linking Bangem and Nguti is in progess with opening of the Enyandong- Elah- Ballog stretch advancing. Meanwhile the construction of culverts gravel cover of the Bangem-Eyandong stretch is steadily ongoing.
Officials have confirmed that construction is steadily moving as planned with works entering Elah village and Ballog.
A meeting of the different stakeholders to evaluate the progress of the work and subsequent construction plan held in February 2025 in Younde, presided over by the Secretary General of the Ministry of public works, Urbain Noel Ebang, a release from the Ministry states.
It should be recalled that the Minister of Finance Louis Paul Motaze at the launch of the 2025 fiscal year in Buea January 17, 2025, pointed out the different projects to be executed in the Southwest with the Bangem-Nguti and Kumba- Ekondo Titi road featuring prominently.
The project it should be recalled is being executed by the Rapid Intervention Battalion (BIR). Experts believe that this initiative will significantly enhance the economy of the division and the country as a whole.
The road construction project authorities say is anticipated to play a vital role in bolstering the local economy and improving infrastructure in the region.
