An arrest warrant and travel ban has been issued by the National Gendarmerie’s special services and distributed to all its branches, as well as to the National Police and Interpol, against female activist Hadja Haoua Aboubakar.
In yet another move geared at disqualifying Professor Maurice Kamto, the Ministry of Territorial Administration (MINAT) has overnight changed the name of Anicet Ekane as president of MANIDEM on its website.
The warrant of arrest document released on July 23 says the whistleblower is wanted for inciting insurrection. In her recent video, Hadja Haoua denounces the alleged kidnapping of the Head of State Paul Biya by his immediate entourage led by Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh and MINAT boss Atanga Nji.
In a previous video, the activist stated that Paul Biya’s candidacy for the October 12 election came from the Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic, Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh.
Hadja Haoua, who claims to be close to the Cameroon first lady, Chantal Biya, maintaining that maneuvers are underway in the entourage of the head of state to maintain power by anti-democratic means.
In another surprising development, the Ministry of Territorial Administration (MINAT) has overnight changed the name of Anicet Ekane as president of MANIDEM on its website.
On the evening of the filing of the candidacy of Dieudonné Yebga, who claims to be the legitimate president of MANIDEM, the party that nominated Maurice Kamto, several people visited the official MINAT website to dispel doubts and noted that, Anicet Ekane is the legitimate president of MANIDEM, officially recognized by MINAT.
Reports say the Minister of Territorial Administration, in his maneuvers aimed at preventing Maurice Kamto from participating in the October election, surreptitiously overnight changed the name to that of Dieudonné Yebga .
Experts say the sudden name change can be considered forgery, a crime punishable by law.
“ MINAT is into manipulation of the public, “
stated Gwa Lawrence, a community leader, on his Facebook page:
“But what these manipulators forget is that the last elections took place in 2020, and that the president of MANIDEM at that time was indeed Mr. Anicet Ekane. He was the one who led his members in the elections. To date, the party has one elected official. So, how can MINAT dare to bring in Yebga from nowhere and present him as president of MANIDEM?” asks another internet user.
It is alledged Yebga, a traditional leader is currently being lodged at Mount Febe Hotel in Yaounde by the regime.
