Dr. Akale Akulle Ransom Sone has added another feather on his Cap, winning the 2026 Community Development Champion Award in recognition of his development strides and grassroot mobilization.
This prestigious award was presented to him at Bengo Hotel in Ebolowa, by Cameroon’s leading English Language daily Newspaper, The Guardian Post,under the distinguished patronage of His Excellency René Emmanuel Sadi, the Minister of Communication.
Dr Akule Ransom Sone is a remarkable gentleman with an inspiring aura, often regarded as a rare gem. He serves as a driving force for development at both individual and community levels. As a philanthropist, he is the founder and CEO of Manfred Akale’s Foundation, dedicated to caring for the underprivileged in his community.
His benevolence knows no bounds, and he is a staunch supporter of the CPDM, the leading political party in Cameroon, where he also serves as the sub-section president of the Nninong clan in the Bangem subdivision.
Recognizing his tireless efforts in mobilizing support for local development, Cameroon’s widely read daily newspapers, The Guardian Post, has honored his relentless community development strides .
This prestigious award according to the publisher of The Guardian Post, Ngah Christian is geared at recognizing and encouraging Dr Akule Ransom to continue in his good works.
Its important to note that this isn’t the first time The Awardee is being recognized. The old adage says “Charity begins at home”.
This explains his recognition last year in 2025 by HRM Nhon Mbuog Chief Nkwelle – kume Makoge of Nninong Clan with an award Baptized *Very Distinguished & Sustained Contribution to the Development of Nninong Clan.*
Dr Akule Ransom Sone hails from Nninong Clan in Bangem Subdivision, born in Muaku-Nninong.
He holds a PhD in Banking and Finance, with a specialization in Financial Markets and Financial Technological Innovations,
in the University of Buea.
He is also a part-time lecturer in Banking and Finance at the same university.
Professionally, he is a seasoned and experienced public accountant working with the Ministry of Finance, Department of Treasury, Monetary and Financial Cooperation, with over 20 years of hands-on experience in the domains of financial management, planning, reporting control, and human resources management.
He is an entrepreneur and the CEO of Talsom Holdings, a conglomerate comprising Talsom ETS and Talsom Farms Cooperative.
He is also a philanthropist and civil society activist, serving as President of the Manfred Akale Memorial Foundation, an organization dedicated to caring for underprivileged children, supporting their education, and promoting social justice in society. He is equally the Global President General of the GBHS Bangem Ex-Students Association (BEXSTA).

Since 2024, he was appointed President of the Idenua Council internal Tenders board and also member of the Tombel Council Internal Tenders board.
Politically, he is a fervent supporter of the ruling Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement, where he has served in various capacities. Currently, he serves as the Subsection President for CPDM Nninong III. He played an active role in the CPDM peace and reconciliation meetings aimed at restoring normalcy during the North West and South West crisis in Bangem Subdivision.
He served as Chargé de Mission and Head of the CPDM Campaign Team for the October 12, 2025 presidential election in Nninong Clan. He also served as Chargé de Mission for the CPDM reorganization of basic organs in 2020 for Bangem Subdivision, as well as Chargé de Mission for constituting the CPDM list ahead of the 2020 municipal elections in Bangem Subdivision.
Above all, he is a devoted family man and father of many children.
