Ebolowa officially launched the 2026 National University Games Finals (FINAJU) in a festive and enthusiastic atmosphere. This marks a historic first for the southern regional capital, which is hosting the largest event in Cameroonian university sports in its new format.

Presided over by the Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education, Chancellor of Academic Orders, and President of the Federal Council of FENASU, Professor Jacques FAME NDONGO, the opening ceremony brought together authorities, university officials, students, and distinguished guests around the values of excellence, fraternity, and fair play.

One of the most memorable moments was the procession of traditional chiefs, who came to offer their blessing to this first edition of FINAJU, held in Ebolowa. The parade of delegations, the fan club procession, and the artistic performances then offered a vibrant spectacle, blending tradition and modernity in a festive atmosphere.

The highlight of the ceremony, the lighting of the Olympic flame, officially launched the competitions, a symbol of pushing boundaries and unity.

For a week, Ebolowa will be alive with the rhythm of sporting achievements, but also with conviviality and cultural exchange, confirming its status as the capital of Cameroonian university sport.
