
After President Paul Biya’s visit to Maroua yesterday, that saw massive crowd pulling, the National President of the FSNC and candidate for the presidential election of October 12, 2025, Issa Tchiroma Bakary, is expected in the Far North Region this Wednesday, October 8, 2025, where he will hold two rallies in Mokolo and Mora, before a major historic rally in Maroua on Thursday, October 9, 2025.
Political observers say the Maroua rally will be a show of who pulls the political strings in the Far North between the two key figures in the 2025 elections, Paul Biya and Issa Tchiroma.
A press release signed by the FSNC party’s Special Adviser For Mobilization says the Thursday Maroua lap will be a come and see.
According to the release “The Departmental Head of Mobilization for the presidential campaign in Diamaré, Elhadj Souleymanou Hamadou, Member of the Central Committee and Special Advisor to the National President, invites all activists, supporters, and volunteers to mobilize en masse to support the National President during these major events.”
The release further states that “The general mobilization is planned for this Wednesday to accompany the National President to Mokolo and Mora, and to give him a warm and popular welcome in Maroua on Thursday, October 9.
The exact times of the various meetings have however not been communicated
