Security Forces intensify Search of some runaway suspected supporters of Separatist fighters

There has been intensified insecurity in the crisis regions of the Northwest and Southwest of Cameroon as security mount hunt for suspected supporters of separatist fighters, especially youths accused of fronting the Anglophone crisis in 2016 following their protest.

Human rights report say many Cameroon Anglophone youths who were involved in the crisis either directly as separatists fighters or supporters have fled from their different abode for safety as they have become majo targets by security forces in the wake of the ongoing Anglophone Crisis in the Northwest and Southwest of Cameroon.

This crackdown reflects escalating tensions between government security forces and Anglophones fighting for Ambazonia liberation, a prominent organization within the Anglophone movements advocating for self-determination.

Hunt for suspected supporters of SEPARATISTS FIGHTERS

 

Eco OUTLOOK Media gathered that many youths who are suspected to be supporters of separatist fighters are being hunted by security.

Eye witness account say one of them,  Kessey Nadege Akom,  a student in the University of Buea Cameroon who was among other students protesting in Buea in 2018, is now on the run following security search for her.

According to our sources Kessey was suspected of being one of the ring leaders in the protest that triggered the crisis in Buea.

However information from her relatives said Kessey like other students in Buea, only helped to distribute some tracts.

She is said to have escaped to an unknown destination since September 27, 2018 for fear of being arrested and even killed like many other cases reported by Human Rights groups.

Human rights report say the Anglophone crisis has been characterized by kidnapings by Amba fighters and killing and imprisonment of suspected supporters of Amba fighters by government military.

 ARREST Hunt by Security

 Eco OUTLOOK gathered that security operatives has since been hunting for Kessey and others whose where about remain unknown.

Many victims in the same circumstances have lost their lives since the Anglophone crisis began in 2016.

 It should be recalled that the Anglophone crisis that started in 2016 and degenerated into fierce battle between security forces and separatists has led to the arrest and killing of thousands of persons of all ages.

Human Rights report say security forces have been carrying out persistent raid arresting especially youths and others believed to be supporters of separatist movement in the country while separatists fighters have been killing those they considers as black legs in the struggle.
