The Cameroon English Language Newspaper Publishers Association (CENPA) has honoured Professor Betty Best Mesame Mwene for her key role in training of health professionals in both English and French language in Cameroon.
Prof Betty Best Mesame Mwene is 2026 winner of the best director of training institutions of health professionals in Cameroon.
The Award took place September 19th 2026 at the GICAM HALL in Douala in a grand ceremony attended by government officials and other dignitaries.
Presiding over the AWARDS the chairman of ceremony and renowned peace crusader senior Barrister Ntumfor Nico Halle said recognition of excellence brings honor and dignity to the winner and the institution she heads as well as to Cameroon.
Handing over the awards, Mr Ngah Christian, president of CENPA hailed the winner for her outstanding managerial role and making Cameroon proud in the training of health professionals in line with international standards.
“We recognize ASSA’s excellent training standards especially in both English and French and this is thanks to the outstanding managerial role of the director of the school” CENPA President said.
The Bilingual Academy of Health Sciences, Yaounde, known by its French acronym ABSSA trains nurses of various academic levels in both English and French languages.
The school trains health professionals at various levels and has over the years distinguished itself with excellent results.
The school for example scored 100% at all levels in the national certification exams last academic year.
Created in 2010, the highly bilingual professional nurses institution has maintained its brilliant academic performance record for the past 16 years, official records show.

It should be recalled that this is not the first time Professor Betty Best Mesame Mwene is distinguished for her excellence.
Recognized for the hard work that led to 100%s success pass between 2010-2015, the student from the school offered Professor Betty Best Mesame Mwene an award of excellence.
Prof. Mesame Mwene Betty Best, CEO of the Bilingual Academy of Health Sciences, Yaounde was also among the few African scientific researchers who were distinguished and upgraded at the 2024 session of the Conference of Africa,Arab and America Grades for Scientific Research,CAFAG.
