The Presbyterian Church in Cameroon (PCC) has ushered in a new era with the election of a new leadership the Rt Rev. Miki Hans Abia,  the 7th Moderator and the Synod Clerk, the Rev. Ayuk Solomon Eta

In line with his policy to revamp and strengthen management of all operations within the PCC, a series of  strategic operations management workshop has been taking place at the Synod office in Buea to edify and abreast church leaders on the way forward.

According to a release from the Synod office, the Moderator of the PCC, the Rt. Rev. Miki Hans Abia opened another successive Strategic Operations Management Workshop this time for Presbyteries and Departments at the PRESFLATS hall – Synod Office Buea on Friday 28th February 2025.

The Moderator in his keynote address revealed the theme of the new mandate as, “Together, Let us Strengthen the Church and Edify ourselves.”

He stressed on stakeholders and key players to strengthen our enterprise, strengthening our possessions or inheritances, our work culture, everything matters, even little things matter, edifying ourselves, edifying your institution.

The Moderator concluded with the wise words saying, “People make institutions great and institutions make people great as well. Those who own the institution can never be great if they do not make the institution great. “Many of our leaders and even workers are fast becoming like ‘the Governor who entered a rich country as a poor man and leaves a poor country as a rich man,” he said.

“We will not entertain those who instead of strengthening our achievements and what we have are instead weakening them. There must therefore be in a symbiotic or mutual relationship between the workers of an institution and that institution,” he added.

It is this kind of symbiotic or mutual relationship that we must together strengthen and edify to secure our inheritance. We can only do so by developing a productive work culture, giving importance to everything that has to do with our institutions and by extension, the entire Church. It is my conviction that we will make a strong Church with improved facilities across the board, and this conviction is premised on what the Apostle Paul says, “I can do all things

through Christ who strengthens me” (Phil. 4:13 NKJV). Therefore, Together, Let us Strengthen and Edify Ourselves and our Church!”

The meditation of the day was led by the Presbyterial Secretary for Fako North Presbytery, the Rev. Foncham Ezekiel Fonmuna.

The workshop modules discussed were:

  1. Know Your Church (KYC) by the Synod Clerk, the Rev. Ayuk Solomon Eta
