Buea Unveils Cameroon Wall of Fame Library and Gallery.

A new cultural and educational centre dedicated to preserving Cameroon’s artistic legacy has been officially opened in Buea.

The Cameroon Wall of Fame Library and Gallery was inaugurated by the Cameroon International Film Festival (CAMIFF) and the Cameroon International Music Festival (CIMFEST) during a ceremony attended by government officials, diplomats, and traditional authorities.

Among the guests were the Governor of the South West Region, Bernard Okalia Bilai, India’s High Commissioner to Cameroon, Vijay Khanduja, Switzerland’s Ambassador to Cameroon, Nathalie Kohli, and the Paramount Chief of Buea, Chief Dr. Robert Esuka Mbella Endeley.

The facility is designed to showcase the achievements of notable Cameroonians in the arts and creative industries while providing a space for learning, research, and cultural engagement.

Organizers said the project reflects ongoing efforts to promote cultural preservation and strengthen appreciation of Cameroon’s rich artistic heritage.

Located in Buea, the gallery and library are expected to serve as a hub for students, researchers, artists, and members of the public interested in the country’s cultural history. To note, the centre is now open to visitors.
