In an economy characterized by surging youth unemployment and challenging social welfare the Cameroon government is seeking to partner with civil society organisations and the private sector to find a lasting solution.

It is against this backdrop that the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Civic Education, MINJEC and the Summa Cum Laude Sango Madiba Information and Learning Resource Centre came together in an audience, June 16,2026 in Yaounde to discuss possible areas of collaboration to better empower youths in KupeMuanenguba in particular and Cameroon in general.

The Minister of Youth Affairs HE Monouna Foutsou who received the 8 man delegation of the Summa Cum Laude Sango Madiba Information and Learning Resource Centre, headed by Dr Abwe Diabe, appreciated the work of the organisation in the field and its milestone achievements.

“ The policy of President Paul is to encourage youths to create job opportunities for other young people and we are glad that your organisation is showing the right example in this direction,” the Minister told Dr Abwe Diabe Ephraim and his delegation.

The Minister listed a series of projects coordinated by his MINISTRY to better empower the Cameroon youth and prevent risky emigration ventures in search of greener pastures out of the country.

“ We do not only coordinate and accompany youths to realise projects, we also fund some of these projects,” the Minister said.

The audience which brought together key directors and heads of MINJECT empowerment programs and those of  Summa Cum Laude Sango Madiba Information and Learning Resource Centre provided the opportunity for deep reflections on the role of community leaders in helping government improve the quality of education and learning especially in rural settings, importance of skilled training for job creation  and orientation on how to better tailor future  opportunities for improved results.
